Dandelion is a treasured botanical with a long history of use in traditional herbal practices worldwide. This perennial herb has a sunny flower head that is composed of hundreds of tiny flowers, deeply cut leaves that form a basal rosette, and a thick taproot.
Dandelion was traditionally used in many systems of medicine to support digestive and gastrointestinal health. Additionally, dandelion was traditionally used to support liver health, healthy urinary function and has mild diuretic action.
Dandelion Root may be helpful as a mild laxative or to improve digestion. It can also help improve liver and gallbladder function.
Ingredients: *Dandelion Root (taraxacum officinale)
Steep 1-2 tablespoons in 8 ounces of water (140-160˚) for 5 minutes (depending on strength preference), and cover the container with a lid, to make dandelion root tea. Add honey or lemon juice for taste, if desired.
