Neem leaf (Azadirachta indica) is a fast-growing tree native to India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Nepal. Bitter and astringent, neem leaves have been employed in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda for millennia. Neem leaf is typically steeped as neem leaf tea, employed in infusions, extracted, or applied externally.

Long known in Ayurdevic medicine in India, modern research has been confirming the traditional uses of the neem tree. Its many properties and uses have given neem the reputation as Friend and Protector in Indian villages. Neem leaf has been shown to be immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, antihyperglycemic, antiulcer, antioxidant, antimutagenic, and anticarcinogenic.

Organic neem leaf (azadirachta indica)

Directions:

Steep 2 teaspoons in 8 ounces of water (208˚) for 10 - 15 minutes (depending on strength preference) to make neem leaf tea. Add cinnamon, peppermint, or other flavorings to taste, if desired.
