Charming vintage miniature porcelain cup and saucer set, marked “JAPAN” on the underside of the saucer. This petite set features an unusual flared, square-shaped cup with softly pointed corners, delicate burgundy, orange, and yellow floral accents, and generous metallic gold/luster detailing around the rim and ornate openwork handle.

The coordinating square saucer repeats the floral motif with fine burgundy linework and gold edging. The cup rests on a small sculpted pedestal-style foot, giving the piece an especially decorative silhouette.

Likely intended as a miniature or decorative tea set piece rather than a full-size drinking cup. A lovely addition to a collection of vintage Japanese porcelain, miniature tea wares, or doll-sized display pieces.
